    SLC 001 Build

Mesa, Have you talked to Fran? I would think they have a chassis jig and would be able to provide the original dimensions and measurements.

    What do I do 1st?

If you built a factory five Daytona, you should no problem with the SLC. I would say start with whatever you want to to start with, just start. :)

Interesting. Sounds like you might have saved a lot of future damage from happening by pulling it apart. Good luck at COTA. Hope to join you one of these days when I get my car put back together.

    Ken's SLC build thread

With all of the triangular bracing between the tub and that upright, I don't think a slight bend in that tube will make a meaningful difference to occupant safety in case of a collision from the rear. I have some recent personal experience in that arena.

Hello, Kevin with SL-C Desires, Help!!

Welcome to the forum. With respect to your second concern, I do not think there is any single step to building one of these cars that you could not do. Yes, there are some very skilled fabricators here, but you can certainly build one of these cars without a lot of elaborate fabrication...

Has anyone done the first start and go kart in the same night?

Very cool, congratulations. First drive is always a great day. I don't think I've ever seen a front and rear clip on without the spider.
