    RCR's Next car should be.....

Is the v12 an option? Last I heard, the race trim and street trim both were running different v6tts.

New Changes at Porsche..all new models & small turbo engines for 911

Very cool, Michael! Congrats to your son!! The GT4 is the car purists and haters have always wanted from Porsche. It is rumored that all build slots are already taken (and were so only a few days after the official unveil) but if you're interested, it's worth a shot to go see for yourself...

New Changes at Porsche..all new models & small turbo engines for 911

The only part of my response that was speculation was the bit about the 918 fighter. Porsches are kind of my thing… I thought my word was good enough. Porsche will not make any official press release about this anytime soon but they're not exactly withholding anything. If quotes are good...

New Changes at Porsche..all new models & small turbo engines for 911

If you're wondering about the switch to all turbo being accurate… it is unfortunately 100% true. The Carreras will sport a 350 hp turbo 2.7 and the Carrera S will sport a 430 hp turbo 3.0. The Cayman/Boxster will have a 4 cylinder. Hatz hates the sound but said they're working on improving...

Why Ferrari engineers don't like turbos

I agree 100%. It's exactly how I would imagine. Modern TT flat plane Ferrari V8s are nothing new. The 488 should sound much like this with a rev limit of 1000 rpm less. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjDSo9lzUts

In and out of a trailer ramps info itc.

Jeez. Y'all are harsh. The funny thing is that the reason it was missing its rear diffuser was because he had crashed the day before too. I can't speak to skill. All I can say is that a lot of these guys are big names who have been running UGR since the start…. and yet they still crash...

Why Ferrari engineers don't like turbos

Love the front end. Love the back end. Hate the sides. I understand the need to go tt, but the 458 is where it's at.

    RCR's Next car should be.....

Not to echo what everyone else is saying but holy smokes. That thing is gorgeous. I know Fran is a fan of the Furai so it'd be interesting to hear his take. I'd love to see a rendering of what it could look like in useable form (ie taller cockpit to see past wheel arches).

    GT-R

I'm not in the market for a GTR yet. If I was, however, I'd strongly consider doing a mile capable car, and that's the only reason I brought up the trans. A sc or tt build with multiple maps/boost levels could still function on the track and be a killer mile car.

    GT-R

But of course. My bad… misinterpreted your initial comment. Curious what Fran has to say.

    GT-R

I think the sky's the limit here. As you may know, PPR's FGT hit a record 283 mph in the mile a few year's back. Fran's GTR is wider so larger frontal area must be taken into account. The flares look to be another source of drag. Nothing a little extra hp can't take care of though...

    Fling SLC Build Thread

Someone's been busy. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see more pics.

Anyone know this SL-C for sale on ebay?

The other big issue is top speed. 230 mph is nowhere near close with a g50 and I don't care how high its spinning

Awesome pictures! Glad to see pics of the Venom GT killer. Last time I was there, it was only in the beginning stages.

    RCR's Next car should be.....

I agree in some regards. I'm not sure who would buy one over the alternatives. It also leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth considering they launched the concept like 10 years ago. I personally have 0 interest in ever owning one. That being said, it's got some seriously cool technology...

    RCR's Next car should be.....

I think it's a clever marketing ploy on Ford's end. It's hard to hate on ecoboosts in their other performance cars when the new GT has one.
