Not that I'm aware of. Alain (in Topeka) had one or two last year, but I believe he has sold both.

I have often wondered what a 917 would look like on surface streets rather than the race track ... thanks for sharing the pictures! A GT40 looks more "at-home" on surface streets; probably because the width of the cabin is more car-like?

Just remember that his focus is marketing: first, middle, and last. It all makes sense then.

Ron, I'll echo what Chris said; when I spoke with him last week, Hershal said he toasted a clutch not the transmission. Hershal was nice enough to give me a ride around the track at R&G last week. I was more curious about the visibility out of the GT40 than the performance. The visibility...

Looks great - and there looks to be more room in there than I thought there would be. Almost "roomy." What are you doing to fill the 1" gap between the top of the dash and bottom of the windshield opening?

I took a (very cheap) pair of needle nose pliers and ground the tips to fit the slots in the switch "nut."

Not that it would really change anything, but I thought the Lotus chassis was clear anodized (not raw aluminum). It would be interesting to anodize the RCR chassis... maybe even with a bit of color.
