    Audi 016 Owners/Users

Seems to me that there may be a market opportunity for one of you talented fellas: take an Audi box, add the Porsche bits, and LSD; make 'em play nicely together, clean it all up and sell 'em at $2k each. I like the idea of a transaxle + a spare for half the cost of a single ZF.

    Anyone using titanium engine parts??

I believe the C6 Z06 also has titanium connecting rods.

    Wifes and GT40S

When I built my Cobra I set the driver's seat up so that as it moves forward it also raises. This way both I (6'4") and my wife (5'2") can drive the Cobra. She's driven the Cobra a handful of times but complains that, although the car is a blast to drive, the clutch and accelerator pedals...

Build Diary - RCR Lola T70 Spider

Ron, Even if you've formatted the card, the pictures may still be recoverable. My daughter formatted a CF card and I was able to recover the pictures using the free software from: http://www.z-a-recovery.com/digital-image-recovery.htm

    Elkhart Vintage Races 2006

Now that is just a bit funny. The first picture I noticed in your batch of pictures was the one with Dennis Gage getting into the 1965 Causey C6 Special. I took a very similar picture at about the same time! So I took a look at the rest of your pictures and sure enough, you got a picture...

"Make sure its not on the weekend of the Brian Redman races at Road America.....13-16th July.......I have to have some fun too ya know......" Fran, wander over to the camping area and look for a green w/yellow stripes MINI. I'll leave a beer out of the cooler for you (assuming you prefer...

    Turn key minus P4

Beautiful! Just as soon as I win the lottery... I'm thinking BMW V12 hooked up to a Porsche transaxle.

I've got two daughters in college - one just finished her first year of undergraduate and the other is just finishing her first year of graduate school. My GT40, T70, P3, 917 will all have to wait for now. It may get worse money wise, but it certainly never gets bad when you've got good kids!

    Roaring Forties Information, March 2006

Oh drat! Best of luck to everyone involved, but from personal experience from being on the wrong end of a bankruptcy, there is usually no good thing to come from being an unsecured creditor. I lost $25k when the company that I bought my Cobra from went bankrupt. It took me nearly 10 years to...

    RCR-P AND P4

Buying lotto tickets today, then getting a second job, selling stuff on Ebay all to support the goal of collecting the entire set!

    RCR-P AND P4

Now all I have to do is win the lottery so I can collect the whole set! And I'll have to loose a foot of height, 6'4" is probably too tall for every one of them.

    Languishing project

What finally worked for me (building my Cobra and now my M6GT replica): don't build a car. Instead focus on a single task. If the task isn't getting finished, make the task smaller. I've had plenty of tasks that I ended up reducing to a single item (like drilling a hole). Heck, I have all...
