    GT-R

I was just there this week. The GT-R is awesome!! After seeing Fran's body on Wed and being up close to a genuine 2005 GT at the Auto Show the next day, the gaps and body lines are better on the GT-R (IMO). It'll be worth the wait.

Why Ferrari engineers don't like turbos

I'm a big fan of big cube NA engines. My SLC has an itb 468ci Ls7. My C6 Z06 (sold this fall) has a 500ci Ls7 (Fast intake). Both of these motors produce ~500 ft lbs of torque at the wheels barely off idle. Both motors have a table top-like torque curve from 1000 to 7000 rpm. The itb ls7...

    RCR's Next car should be.....

The rear of the gt looks like the face of a gorilla. The tail lights are the eyes. The exhaust the nostrils. The diffuser the mouth. The rear hatch the forehead.

    RCR's Next car should be.....

I'm not a fan of the new GT design. No tongue-in-cheek.

    Rumbles SLC Build

Nice work Bill- the SLC does have a lot of opportunity for hidden storage in unused spots.

Two new LS intakes coming to market soon.

Your post mirrors my experience almost exactly.

Two new LS intakes coming to market soon.

Luke, I hope you have luck getting the Ozmo options proven and available to the masses. I pursued the Ozmo options ~4 years ago and it didn't go anywhere. I ended up with itbs in the end. Cool looking for sure.

    RCR's Next car should be.....

Whatever RCR's next car is should be epic-something so forward thinking and otherwise unobtainable that you HAVE to have it. There is a lot of risk with that however, and ultimately Fran will build what he loves and believes will ring the register for RCR.

I was thinking the same thing.

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Thanks Fran- The Tub is a difference maker- definitely worth the effort to retrofit even though the body was together already. It takes the build to another level and further bridges the gap from kit car to production car. Well done. I appreciate it. I don't have as much free time to...

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Thank you for the nice words Mike. I'm thrilled with Stephen's work. He is going above and beyond to make it as oem-like as possible. Very talented guy and team. He could easily have his own TV show on Velocity. I feel lucky I found the shop and that he was interested in the project. He is...

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Thanks Mike. I'm a little embarrassed posting pics of my interior after looking at your interior pics but I'll update my thread anyway! I'm really pleased with the work Stephen and his team @ Lux Motorwerks are doing with the interior. It's been a long time coming as they've had...

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Thanks for rubbing salt in the wound. Seats are one of the reasons I stopped keeping track of build costs!! I think my accountant would shoot me on the spot. Thanks- those are HRE C20s. They are 19"s. I swapped the wheels and tires with my Z06.

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Wow, I haven't updated this thread in forever. Long story short is my SLC has been in the interior/audio shop all Spring and Summer. The shop is doing a phenomenal job on the interior. I have progress pics but I want to wait to post them till it's finished. Materials are genuine Alcantara...

How fast or quick are the SLC's?

Actually, I didn't even consider possible responses to my post. I was responding to a post from a contributing member of the forum about my personal experience. Experience from someone who has owned, built, and driven the cars the member listed in his post. Since you brought it up though...

How fast or quick are the SLC's?

A very slow crawl. Are you serious?

How fast or quick are the SLC's?

The one where I lined up my SLC next to my 700+hp C6 Z06 and my SLC destroyed it-repeatedly. I didn't list a time.
