    Throttle cable length

OP, Probably too late now, but most large motorcycle repair shops can make you a stronger/heavy-duty cable with all the fixings while you wait. They make them all the time for clutch and throttles....... S

    Role cage recommendation for GTD40?

Yuji, As previously mentioned the cage turns the car into a "track" only toy with helmet unless you want to take a chance....... I think the gtd/kva chassis has a roll-bar/hoop behind the driver going to the roof=line or just-under. Why don't you see if you can get a good fabricator to turn that...

    gearing

Nick, A 2500 cruise rpm is reasonable for cruising at 85mph. (I would probably want the rpm to be a little lower going any long trips) Even with a low (.6 something over-drive top gear) and 26" tall tires and a 4.11 r&p you will hit 2500 rpm around 70-74mph........ Which tranny have you...

    gearing

Nick, I’m sure with 600hp it will pull like a beast no matter what gears are in it. The cars only weigh 2100-2500lbs. The reason I stated rpm/tire diameter/speed is that you may not be able to drive it anywhere if you gear it wrong and are taching 3500 rpm at 60mph...... With a 70mph speed...

    gearing

Nick, The gearing alone doesn't really mean anything. People run different tire diameters and transmissions with different drive ratios etc. What rpm are you cruising at on the freeway? For example I am running a 29" tire in 5th on a g50 trans, 2800rpm at 80mph in florida. What are you...

Wanted: Original and Superformance parts book/technical paperwork

Elliott, Look up Jay Cushman. He sells a lot of original style parts and has/had the diagrams on his website. (what motor are you putting in the Gulf???) . S

    Parts for a Tornado build

Op, you may want to post over in the Gt40 enthusiasts forum as well. There is probably a lot more specific knowledge there as I would suspect those members have/own the majority of Tornados world-wide due to proximity of the factory. Have fun with the build, S

    Flange Choice for Exhaust Build

Kim, I mean heat cycles running the engine in the car. Distortion on the weld can be controlled while tigging by welding small sections and allowing to cool before continuing. S

    Flange Choice for Exhaust Build

Kim, If you cut up each flange into 3 diff pieces, it may make the system easier to build, but once you get a few heat-cycles into them, putting the system back on will be a bear to get aligned again....... (you would be amazed at how much they will move around) Thicker on the flange makes them...

    Bundle of Snakes Advice

OP, I went and took pictures today at my shop. The engine IS angled up rear to front. There is at least 4” of clearance between the pipes and rear bonnet fiberglass. I will post pics when I get home and take a measurement of how far the back of the block is from the horse-shoe. S

    Bundle of Snakes Advice

I hear you Jac. A good compromise would be a 1.75 bundle to the collectors if Kim is going to thrash it on the track. For the street and shows the stock 1.5 set is probably fine. I don't have any clearance issues like AJ has using the RCR stainless 1.5 set,306, and g50 trans. I'ts possible the...

    Bundle of Snakes Advice

Kim, Can you post a couple of pics of how your engine and tranny sit in the chassis? I have a 306 and a g50 in mine, (RCR) and can give you an idea or send some pics. Scott

    Premade BUNDLE OF SNAKES?

OP, You SHOULD take your car to the fabricator to have them made unless they are from the same chassis manufacturer you have. A set of headers from one chassis manufacturer may not fit a different chassis without modifications.......... (similar to the replica body parts, they are all slightly...

    Front Sway Bar Brackets

Steve, Regarding smaller 15inch wheels vs 17 or larger....... The stock corvette front/rear uprights are too tall to clear the smaller diameter wheels. Ask Adern about that as well. Just an FYI, Scott
