RCR flywheel choice with G50 gear box

Jim, Kennedy Engineering in California makes all the adapter plates/flywheels/clutches etc. to mate sbf to porsche transmissions. They have a website I think, its been awhile. Cost for everything was around 2k or so. You do need to tell them how your motor is balanced though..... Scott

Why not a 351 Windsor in at GT40

Jim, The experts say that is mis-information. (according to what I have found on the net) The cylinders are all roughly 5.125 in length between a 289 and 302 give or take a 16th due to casting differences. The early block is beefier, but has no roller provisions. It is also heavier, and is...

Why not a 351 Windsor in at GT40

Jim and Jim C, From the reading I have done considering the ford small-block strokers, 302 has 3inch stroke 4 inch bore, 331 has 3.25 stroke and 4.030 inch bore, 347 has 3.4 inch stroke and 4.030 inch bore, and the 342 uses a boss block with a 4.125 inch bore with a 3.25 stroke. Stock 302...

american muscle cars, need your opinion plz

Paulo, Corvette, hands down! Has more room inside than the viper, good trunk space, and more power than you can use for the most part. The Z06 is right around 500hp. (it is also pretty good on gas too, something like high 20s if you drive nice) I have had c5s and drive a c6 vert at the moment...

    Salvage F50

MHNCO, Ferrari parts for that particular model are obscene and unobtanium unless you know someone at the factory. And there is also something about "classiche" certification...... (and if the tub is damaged, fuggetaboutit) Gman could buy a finished/modified Superformance for what he will have...

Spongy Pedal on new Wilwood Setup

Tim, I had the same problem when upgrading the master cylinder/brakes on one of my Camaros. You basically answered your own question about increasing the bore size. That was what I had to do as well. I started out with a 7/8ths bore, and had to go to a 1" bore before it felt "right". The...

    SLC interiors

Fran, I keep seeing a shifter from a porsche specialist in many of these interior shots. Are you re-selling them or is that your own design? (I have one of the older shifters and am thinking of upgrading) As I recall that shifter was around 1K or so...........? (I assume it shifts a llittle...

    Tornado Build - www.gt40builder.com

Trevor, Looks like the upright was probably dropped at some point and bent the mount a little. I would use a large adjustable crescent wrench and bend it back. I doubt it will hurt anything. There is no need to heat it up. Best, Scott
