I know you got no good reply last year but I guess its quite possible there's none of the hundred(ish) originals with that colour scheme anywhere in the world let alone one on public display

Correction = USD 1 650 000 inc commission

USD 1.4 million ex commission I believe which sounds a little softer than some recent transactions - having said that almost to the penny the same as the last two 'sales' in 2007 & 2008 for that car
