    SLC in Texas

Cam also "sold" me on the SL-C. Looks like he changed the wheels since I last saw the car. Did he change for looks, or because of performance?

    Coolant expansion tank question

The package now includes a Dorman tank. Not sure if Dorman is a style, or an actual brand, but it is included.

    High quality switches

You are actually right. The leather craftsmanship looks great, but the color is terrible, and the rest of the elements look like they are from a kids toy car.

    Jay's build log

Looking at this picture has me wondering. . . . For those of us fixated on a quiet luxury interior, how do you sound dampen and carpet or otherwise treat this area? There's a lot in the way.

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

That's a heavy and EXPENSIVE beastie. Found the basic outgoing model, which seems like a good deal at $5100, but also a heavy beast. http://www.moparperformanceonline.com/p-1256-mopar-61l-hemi-crate-engine-425-horsepower.aspx But then I figured out that the EMS and harness is another $2500 so...

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

I have no familiarity or knowledge on anything Chrysler related, and I'm not very motivated to pursue this, but I happened to read Autoweek this morning and noticed that the new 6.4l Hemi has 470hp. Does Chrysler offer this as a crate package and are there any advantages/disadvantages over...

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

In case he doesn't check back in for a while, I think Cam runs without the windows all the time, street and track.

ABS worth it in the SL-C?

I can confirm that I am not getting near the full potential of the car. And I suspect I would never get near the full potential of an SL-C. I'm okay with that. I think that puts me in with 99.5% of the population.

ABS worth it in the SL-C?

Since I have never triggered the ABS or TC on my current car (M3), including time at the track, for me the answer is. . . no, its not worth it.

    New RCR transaxle?

I'm fairly certain that I will be asking many stupid questions in the future as I try to expand my knowledge base. If this section is only for people that already know everything, is there a special forum for us twerps?

    New RCR transaxle?

    Duh!!! That's embarrassing. So with a tire diameter then of 26.677 I get the following: Model MPH 70 MPH 80 MPH 90 Ricardo 2055 2349 2643 950-- 2009 2296 2583 950SS 2009 2296 2583 960SS 1759 2011...

    New RCR transaxle?

Here's how I got 23 inches, which may be completely wrong. The wheel is 19". The tire is 325/30 which suggests the height of the tire is 30% of 325mm, which is 97.5mm, which is 3.84 inches. 19 + 3.84 =22.84. Maybe my assumptions are wrong or I've left something out? Anyone. . . . anyone?

    New RCR transaxle?

Based on the charts, I calculate the following RPM for 5th/6th (last) gear for each option, with the Ricardo first followed by the Griffen options. Based on 19" rear wheel and tire with a combined 22.84" diameter. Does all this seem right? Model MPH 70 MPH 80 MPH 90...

    SLC 001 Build

That answers a question I'm sure I would be asking a few years from now. Is that an LS-based engine in basically a stock location? In other words, if I go LS3, can I drop in a supercharger a few yrs down the road without having to cut and reweld the entire engine bay?
