That thing is crazy. Somebody spent one hell of a lot of money to build it. Says the grill is machined from a 650lb block? But the stitching looks like the stitches are too far apart for Bercedes quallity IMHO.

I found a couple of pictures of the body work off. It looks like it was a much more sophisticated chassis than I would have supposed. I can't upload the pix (copywrited?) but if you google mercedes w125 they should be there. It looks like there were two main oval tubes & a lot of smaller tubes...

The chassis were prety "primative/basic" back then. Do you have any acess to pics of the original? Probably not a whole lot diferent. what's the front susp. & cross member from? My guess would be a solid "I" beam axle on the original?

I'm not sure if the coupe used the same rad. or not.

Are there any pictures of the chassis? I know there's a "see through" of it in several books. But it's hard to see the exact configuration & details. I'm really struck by the simularities between the 6 & the Europa from nose to back of doors.
