Finger tips are ok (real block sanding hasn't started) LOL But my right shoulder is getting sore from body filing. I'm sure glad I bought a 220 compressor last year. It keeps up nicely with the air file & jitterbug.

Making progress on the fenders/wheel arches. From the raw foam blocks glued on it now looks more finished. Including a roll over the arch. I think they make a more "facyory" look than just cut openings. I know most/many race cars just have cut openings. But the roll does reinforce the edge too...

I think a more substancial hinge at the fender is needed. More of a "C" hidden one? Something like a trunk or hood hinge. I'm not exactly sure how to explain what I'm looking for. If I keep them, the Lotus has electric windows & the bottom is heavier. Fran how does the RCR T70 door hinge?

What Lotus are you building/using? I'm in the process with a Europa with the Buick 3.5 V8. What kind of body are you going to use? Lotus or something else?

Kennedy Engineered Products (KEP.com)is probably your best bet. I got my Buick V8 to VW addapter kit (adapter, flywheel & clutch)from them & was very impressed for the money (about $600). They've been in the business a long time & can probably make one for just about any set up you want.

I was wondering if any one had looked into/tried a Porsche 944 trans? They are certainly plentiful & cheap. I wonder if one would be strong enough say for a mild small block Chevy or Ford? The 944 turbo in particular.

Well if his "W125" ref. is to the Mercedes W125. That would be an interesting car. Making it a 2 seater would make it more practicle but still very nice. But I vote for the "streamliner" version, again in a 2 seater.
