    M20 Dreaming

If you use cotter pins or other positive locking means. I don't think L & R threads are really mandatory. But others who race may have other experiences. How's the car comming? Pix?

    My Lotus build

Got my Offy valve covers & intake. Look really nice I think & I like having the Offenhauser name showing. They've been closly associated with Indy & Can-Am for years. Have a little problem with clearance to the radius rods because of the width of tires & offset of the wheels. But I think I can...

    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

I thought they were prety nice. I use a lot of Edelbrock parts on other engines. But I like the idea of the Offenhauser name on this one. They've been building parts for racing engines for a long time. Offy is closely associated with Indy & Can-Am here. How things look is important to me as well...

i Fred I said I'd post some pix of the Offenhauser valve covers when I got them. Then forgot (it's hell getting old LOL) but in the mean time I also got an Offy intake. So here's the pictures of them.

Any pics? How is the build doing? Finding all the proper susp. parts is going to be no small job besides the Trans.

    Lola T70 spider project

Well if you found & bought THAT chassis. Then it was quite the coup. I don't doubt it wasn't cheap but I'd say worth the money (of course it's not MY money LOL)

    Porsche 908/910 project

Just look at the time this project has been going on. From Nov. of 06 till now. That should tell you what dedication is needed (even IF you have the skills) to build such a magnificent machine.

    My Lotus build

Work goes on. I've spent a lot of time sandblasting parts, priming & painting. Been finishing welding areas I'd only tacked. Getting close to a full rolling chassis. My welding is improving I think (in looks anyway LOL). Kind of a drag only being able to torch weld everything. [/URL]

    Porsche 908/910 project

Absolutly a great car build. It looks kind of lonely there with the pits & grandstands so empty though. Bet you could just hear the ghosts of past races. Been looking through all the pics of your build. Have a question though. How do you train the spiders to weave in steel? LOL Not as bad as...

    Hello from an Old Timer

First off welcome to the forum. Don't be too hasty to sell "your baby". I lost my Dad about 1 1/2 years ago. It took most of my enthusiasm away for just about any projects. Give yourself some time. A project can give you something to do & take your mind off your loss. I started working on my 56...

    My Lotus build

The rain last week kind of slowed things up a little. But I was able to get a bunch of small stuff & susp. parts sand blasted, Primed & painted now. Got the engine mounts & brackets for the rear disc conversion made. Did some final welding on the chassis. I'll have to wait till I take the motor...

    New member from Chicago

Welcome Joel. I've always said there's only two ingredients to a car project. Time & money but with a build there's knowledge too. The folks here have a lot of that & experience. Let the fun begin

    My Lotus build

Yeah they beefed up the case with more ribs etc. The side plates are much heavier too. I'll probably be using molly stub axles too & molly CV joints. All that will still be cheaper than a Porsche trans & should be plenty strong for a 215. I've seen some monster power dune buggies that use bug...

    My Lotus build

Been raining like crazy the last two days & can't get much done. The chassis is in the driveway. But went to Shore metals & got some steel I needed & did some welding in the garage on the radius rods & other brackets etc. So not a complete loss. I'll sand blast some parts & get them ready to...
