    Monterey 2014

Just checking in to see who is attending this year, if anyone. I know it is the year of the Porsche but a few 40's won't hurt either. I am going with several buddies and we are driving our cars so if I decide to drive it I have extra storage. Hope to see and meet more owners this year, had a...

    P2304

Jeff, Your car is looking great. To the best of my knowledge, that light OPTION was called the Lemans Fog Light option. Yours must of got checked by someone. I ordered the same option on my Mk1 with the standard tail. Tell me about your Firefly pipes, did you happen to run the car before...

That shop looks familiar! Hope everything is going well with the build at Olthoff's. I can't speak highly enough about their qualifications. 3000 miles later, including 4 track days, and my only maintenance has been adjust the valves, more for the fun of it since they were all spot on, and...

    At last!

Ron, Great to hear! I think because of all you issues, we have benefitted. My MSO states '65 and I had very little problems registering in Ca. Now that your legal, next time I'm up north with my car I will call and set up a drive through some of those scenic Sierra's you have in your...

    road suspension

I have #2307, a MK1, that I recently switched from the stock SPF springs to QA1's. The stock setup was 350 on the rear and 400 on the front. From what I have learned, that is pretty standard. I switched because I go to some track days and wanted it a little more stable. I went with the...

    2307 is alive!

I have also attached my very amatuer video showing my rookie driving skills. Actually still getting use to the car and how late you can brake coming into the turns, but even with that my times were 2nd fastest on the upper intermediate group which is just fine with me. The last thing I want to...

    2307 is alive!

Had a nice day at the Buttonwillow track with my buddy in his Z06 corvette. These cars are such a blast, whether on the street or pushing it a little harder for 20-30 mins on the track, it was well worth the wait:pleased:

Sean, Great job on doing all your homework. When I visited Dennis's shop during my build, the Gulf R car that they maintain was there with a very similar motor and it sounded absolutely incredible. You will love the shifting with the RHD, no driving issues for me so far. Are you doing a...

    serial chassis numbers?

Not sure about the number sequence, possibly because it is a "R" car built by Pathfinder. Either way, sure is a nice car, I wonder who bought it?

    2307 is alive!

Out for a ride Sunday morning to breakfast with the family. Since both are two seaters, the wife drove the Cobra, she's afraid of the 40 and I wouldn't let her drive it anyway, still too new (maybe in 20 years or so). We each had one of the kids with us and coudn't have asked for better...

    2307 is alive!

Well, I finally bit the bullit and swapped out the mirrors and they were not cheap. Actually, I haven't found anything related to this project to be cheap. The only issue I had was the base plate to the old mirrors left marks in the 3M paint guard and I also found a second set of mounting holes...

    Tracking a SPF

Sean, I have to agree with Ron on this one. I wasn't going to vintage race so I wanted the most I could get and let the right foot control it. I also went back and forth on 302-331 and 351-427, I ended up with a 351-438 recommended by Olthoff. Dennis did the install and I received my car...

One more! I thought the Cobra got attention going down the road, the GT40 takes it to a whole different level.

Finally got the front of the car wrapped in a clear to help protect the paint and got the canards and decals installed.

Jack, That right there is the reason to keep that car. Great video!

    2307 is alive!

Jack, Great news. I was really bummed after talking to you in Monterey. I went back and forth on the nose guard, but at the end of the day, i knew I would scrape the nose someday and I didn't want to see all the scratches in the paint. Again, glad you are keeping her.
