I want to know what all you guys are building or waiting to build.

Well, frankly I'm more confused than sure. I'm looking for a turn-key car...though the idea of a long-term project car SOUNDS good, it's not practical for me. So I was all excited about a CAV but then why not get a Roaring 40's but then again, I'd be better off if I was going to track the car...

    Question on handling/driveability...

Yes, I'd like to take you up on that Brands offer but I'm in California. Maybe I'll have to visit my brother in Northern Ireland and make a detour I worked for (and raced with) Jim Russell in the early 80's at Riverside and raced Formula Fords, Formula Mazda and some regional Formula Super...

    Question on handling/driveability...

Hoping to drive a CAV GT40 next month but a friend of mine who had driven a GTD said "it was too much like a Pantera" and that has me wondering. I've driven a ton of cars and though have plenty of open-wheel time I'm wondering how much fun something like this would be attacking the twisties...

Who do you guys (in the US) insure your cars with?

Thanks...those are some pretty harsh requirements, I was hoping to use the car for more than 3000 miles a year. The point of having a REPLICA IMHO is that you can go out and enjoy driving it any time you want without worrying about it's "value". Any other suggestions? TIA.

But when a finished one shows up for sale...suddenly...

Newbie, I'd like to introduce myself...

Newbie, I\'d like to introduce myself... First thing that ever got me interested in cars was watching the movie LeMans as a kid...grew up dreaming about Ferraris and Porsches, ended up racing karts, then going on to work for Jim Russell and getting into some Formula Atlantic before running out...

    Silver GT-40 CAV For Sale

Oh great...still in the early stages of researching a CAV (and only 1.5 years into a 4 year lease on a Porsche 996) and I find a complete one for sale. Lucky for me it's on the wrong side of the country.
