    Fitting in a CAV

Sounds good, though the likelihood of me being able to sit in a GT40 for 5 - 6 hours straight is pretty low!!!Maybe with ear plugs... I'll definitely be in touch, should I get up there, though. Marty

    CAV foot pedals

I received a pedal kit from CAV that gives about 1-1/2" extra room on the left, I'm told. I haven't driven the car yet, since I don't have it back, but I'm told it's definitely better. A size 10 foot should have no problem. Try contacting them directly. My car's new, so it may not be available...

    Registration Issues

I need a little help with the registration process. I'm taking delivery of a silver CAV tomorrow (I'll post pictures when I can figure it out), and I'll need to do that SB100 thing that allows you to register the car as what it appears to be. the car's complete with engine, etc. I've already...

A New GT40 replica is Coming - Superformance

Re: A New GT40 replica is Coming - Maybe? I agree. The new Mercedes SL500 was listed at $85,000 but was not available as a drive-off for under $120,000 (without options) for quite a while, unless you knew the dealer. A steep price to pay for being the first around town. Of course, I'm from LA...

    Keyless starter

I've always thought the old "Le-Mans-Style" starter buttons were very cool - especially with the lookie-loos peering in as you fire it up. Has anyone installed a dash-mounted starter button? Are there any kits out there? I can't imagine it's that hard to accomplish. Let me know, Marty...

Do you folks want a chat room?

I'm with you. It's distracting enough to have the internet available at work, let alone trying to keep up with an online chat. And, as everyone is saying, the greatest thing about the GT40s forum - the amazing informtion that's shared - is lost forever unless it's saved right then (or so I...

Tips for a new owner - HELP!!

Hi all, I'm taking delivery in Los Angeles (anyone know other owners here? Bill D?) on Sunday 11/9 of a CAV GT40 (silver w/ black stripes). At least, that's what I'm lead to believe. It's gonna be rainy then, so who knows. Are there any questions I'll need to ask the engine installer before...

New GT40 sighting in Los Angles, CA

WOW - I've never seen a GT40 in LA. I'm taking delivery of one next week and was interested in finding out if there were any other owners in the area - there's only one that I know,, and they're not too interested in sharing, it seems. Sounds like the ones you saw are test cars for the new Ford...
