Not sure why it didn't work on my phone either. Very strange. Maybe not my phone also runs Chrome. It does work if I'm in a thread on the forum.

    Gt 40 steering wheel badge

The originals were injection molded plastic. I've been trying to make one of these for my own car for some time now. If and when I'm able to make or buy a badge I've solved one of the biggest problems I had, the chrome finish. Forever getting plastic to look like chrome for us poor folk has...

Thanks Brian, certainly not the end of the world. Is that your Lola in the picture? Many years ago a friend was working on converting a T70 roadster into a street car with a 427 tunnel port motor. Last I knew he was having problems getting a windshield with a DOT stamp. What beautiful cars. Not...

Brian if it's something I'm doing wrong please let me know. I've been wrong more than a few times, just ask my X-wife. I spent almost 40 years working on computer hardware and software so I'm not a newbie but that doesn't mean I'm infallible.

It works here in a thread but not when I try and send a PM. Please try and send me a picture in a PM and let me know what you get. If you look at the small window I posted it isn't the same as when you click on the link icon.

I'm trying to upload a picture in the "Start a conversation" window. When I press the "Insert image" icon I get the Link window (see picture below) instead. I just checked and the link in this window is working correctly. Would you please have a look and see if you can fix the problem. Thanks.

    Superformance Dashboard Paint

Dave sorry for the late post but I hope you see this. I've had my car since 2008 and see no deterioration. Unless they changed the paint they used why yours didn't fare well. Do you live in a high humidity area? I'm pretty sure the part is made out of ABS with the soft coating added on. It's now...

Hi sorry for the delay. For me to make the best possible knob I'm going to need the thread size and pitch. It would also really help me to know if you can get an emblem. Could you send me some pictures of the car in its current state. You can send them to my email address [email protected].

    Superformance GT40 Transmission Mounting Bushes

Robbie, I wasn't prepared for the transition of what my kids called garage furniture into something I could drive. Enjoy the experience.

Anybody know if the Indy engine took a standard 5 or 6 bolt small block Ford bellhousing? Sorry for thread drift.

Beautiful car. It was strange to see it being driven to an event with no plates.

    GT40 roadster

I thought maybe the parts taken off of the converted cars are being used on some of the "NEW" ones as the windshields must be very rare. My most interesting GT40 sighting was seeing the spyder in the picture driving around the streets of Kirkland Wa back in 2010. There were Mk I, II, III, and...

    Superformance GT40 Transmission Mounting Bushes

25K is a guess. My My speedometer died after 1200 mi but after many long and short trips I might have more. It's whatever came in the car some sort of hard plastic if I remember correctly but I'll have a look. I wouldn't worry about it considering how many SPF cars are out there and I haven't...

    Superformance GT40 Transmission Mounting Bushes

I have at least 25K miles on my 40 with a 331 SBF. I've never seen any problems. Having your headers ceramic coated inside and out will also help.

    GT40 roadster

If I remember correctly when Dean Jeffries owned the car it was fitted with a Ford Indy engine. Not that someone couldn't have changed it the question is why would you. Also weren't some roadsters converted to coupes?

    SPF Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

Thanks Dave I'm hoping I never have to redo the bearings again but I'm much better prepared if that day comes. I think I'd crumple up some aluminum foil and stuff in the space between bearings to get an starting point.

    SPF Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

Do you have the length of your spacers? That would at least give us a starting point. I may also start with some PVC pipe.

    SPF Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

Markus thanks for the info for setting the bearing preload. Now that I have lathe and a surface grinder I can make my own spacers. However my question is how would you measure the space between the inner bearing races? I guess you could make something that you know would be to long, put it...
