Delynn,
Nice to make your acquaintance; that was (is) a real feat of engineering that you created.
How many did you make?
How strong was it?
Was there just not enough interest to keep making them?
Clever idea; I wish I had found one when I was looking for a transaxle.

I want to have my instrument cluster look more modern and more custom.
Does anyone know of a business that does that type of work?
I've checked the major home-built car forums, but haven't found zip so far.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
JD,
I'm building a kit now, and found a used G50 at a decent price, so that's what I'm going to stick with.
However, if I had it do over, I'd use what is called a V-drive, which allows you to use a conventional transmission (say from a Corvette), and then direct the power back to your rear...
The least expensive modern GT40 that I've ever seen for sale (10K miles) was a 2005 for $160,000 USD.
But yes, sadly, I agree that no are no current model replica bodies out there.
Still, a man can't help but dream.
Thanks all,
Chris
I am of a certain age that I remember the original GT40's performance at Sebring in the 60's (I lived in Florida at the time, though a mere slip of a lad).
I thought someday I might build a replica of one, and then Ford brought out their modern version of it.
My question: is anyone making...
I had my G50 transaxle rebuilt by MotorMeister, for inverted (mid-engine) use on my kit.
After having the transaxle shipped, I realized that they did not machine anything into the case for a pick-up for a speedometer.
When I asked them about this, they just said to use a GPS speedometer...
Thanks in advance for your help.
I am running a GM V8 with my inverted G-50 transaxle (Kennedy Engineering adaptor).
It's time to build/mount the shifter system.
Can anyone recommend a pre-engineered kit I can purchase for this?
(I don't mean just the cables-there are good companies...
I would like to use a Subaru electric power steering pump with my Appleton (power steering) rack.
I see lots of mention of using an electric power steering pump on the various forums, but I can't find any technical info on how to do it.
Can anyone here give me any tips or info?
Thanks...
I have a GM V-8 engine (Generation III, LS1) that will be connected to my 1993 G50-05 transaxle (inverted).
The engine's computer (PCM) recieves an electrical signal from the transmission, and then sends another electrical signal to the speedometer (and is meant to work with other GM...
I have a '93 G50-05 transaxle that is being rebuilt by Motor Meister.
I am mating a LQ4/LQ9 iron block chevy to it (and the engine produces 520 bhp...new SAE rating).
The unit has the open differential, and I wonder if I can purchase a Limited Slip Diff (used) and have this installed...
