    brake bias bar

Jac Mac is correct. Please have a look at the attached pictures. We source the balance bar assembly from a company called Howe Racing Enterprises. These guys build ASA race cars and use these balance bars in their cars. The rod ends are in fact pinned and threaded.

Open letter to Jim Price of Hi-Tech

Chris, Thank you for posting the pictures. Those were all of chassis #1. As you can see all the panelling is automotive grade "zintec". Before etchcoating and painting we also seamseal all joins. I also agree with Roy that the original bag tanks were a cause of most of the sill rusting. Our...

Any tall SPF GT owners here?

Hi Rick,We have recently offered a non original, targa style 40 and a roadster 40, both using the original windscreen. the original style roadster ,as you know, is a very different looking animal and, as we are not sure how it would be received, we have held back on it for a while. Regards Jom

Any tall SPF GT owners here?

Charlie C, As the SPF GT40 is virtually identical to the original 40's so is the space available. The seat has been made so that it can be modified to provide more room and the pedal box, also very true to original, can also be moved forward. I am 6'2" and weigh 250 and can be comfortably...

SPF MKI, Bellhousings and all the other little stuff!

Our chassis has the trans mount bushes in the original position so there should be no problem with Bob's bellhousings Regards Jim

Question for Jimmy Price (early-style Mk 1 rear?)

Mike, There is a upcost on the extra wide rear (amortization of plug and mould costs over a much lower offtake) and we have not yet costed the four light rear yet as no one has ordered one. Regards Jim

    Which to choose from......

MikeD, The centre mount shifter is fitted as most owners would find it more convenient for street use, and the same goes for the handbrake and ignition key console. We offer the sill mounted shifter and can move the ignition to the dash (where it rattles a bit). The original handbrake layout is...

    Superformance Ford GT MkII

FYI. Came across this article on another site. This was done by John S Allen, the famous GT40 author. http://www.gt40.org.uk/jsa/Superformance.html

    Which to choose from......

FRan, Thankyou for your referral. We do offer the wider, "Gulf" style clam, but agree with you about the difficulty in finding suitable Dot tyres in 15 inch. We also have the narrow early clam that no one has ordered yet! Regards Jim Price

New Manufacturer or did I miss something

We have seen the "UK turnkey" price from Nigel Hulme questioned a few times , particularly when compared to a USA "roller" price. This is not quite fair as the two concepts are poles apart. The UK price is for a "complete" car, that is: duty paid on roller and drivetrain, full SVA approval...

    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

Roger, No Nigel is not related to Denny at all. Nigel also owned 39PH, the well known Jack Sears/Willment cobra, for a long time as well as a Mclaren M6. Some guys just have to much luck!

    Front Canard Wings

Kim, We can supply the car with "canard wings" and have one on the way to Chile right now. I will get someone to post a picture tomorrow if we took one. Regards

    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

Fred, if you think we can be of assistance please give us a call at 041-3981300. Our agent in the UK, Nigel Hulme, has a T70 and I am sure we could get photo's, details and any measurements you may require, from him. He is, in fact over here now, with his car, racing with the David Piper crowd...

Wheel choices for wide (gulf) flares?

Regarding our "wide body rear clam", we are working on it together with Safir. It will be as original and we have orders for a few already. Wheels will probably be sourced from outside at this time unless demand justifies the tool up costs. AS a futher matter of interest we can supply the BRM,s...

Wheel choices for wide (gulf) flares?

We do not advise anyone to split a cast alloy rim and weld in a fabricated spacer, as it is just not good practice. Any metallurgist with light metal experience can confirm this. It would be far safer to machine off the outer rim portion and then, by using commercially available spun rim...

    Price increase for Superformance GT's

I believe Shelby started the "continuation" idea with his CSX numbered, accurately built, "clones" for want of a better word. The FIA have also started promoting a similar thing by creating a set of rules under their "appendix K". Lola have recently built 6 approved T70 that conform to these...
