My New SPF GT40 MK2 has landed

I didn't realize that the Kirkhams have expanded into GF40 powertrain installs. I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

    Fueling an SPF Mark I

Depends on how much time you have and if the nozzle will reach both tanks.....It takes a (relatively) long time to fill when using just one side, even if venting both. If I can, I try to use a pump with a hose long enough to reach both sides....it is quite a bit faster.

Help with connecting my SPF A/C

Just saw this. I can look tonight if you don't have an answer by then.

    Avon stops production.

I wouldn't mind "Avons" branded and labeled as "Goodyears". At least they would look more vintage appropriate. Hope this comes to fruition before I wear out the set I have!

    Electrical issue SPF GT40

I assume that there is a relay on that circuit. Might try switching out for a known good one. Do you have a wiring diagram? I've got one, but it's at home. I'll tell ya, mine has had/does have some perplexing electrical issues. I believe some resistors etc were added over the years to combat...

That price seems pretty steep. I might try calling around....maybe see if Fran at RCR has any suggestons/leads. I assume a Graz can be put in an SPF chassis, but I don't think I've ever seen it. But if Levey was planning on doing it, I guess it can be done.

Franklyn, Right now, I think the wait for a transaxle is going to be your limiting factor. I have an RBT, but the wait list has historically been very long...you'll want to get on that ASAP. That said, I do think I saw one for sale (a ZF) here on this forum in the last few days. Definately do a...

You'll find the GT an entirely different experience from the Cobra. Better for longer trips, worse around town. Do you have your motor/transaxle arranged? An installer or are you going to do it yourself? Not too hard, if you have the tools. I have some resources. It would be interesting to...

No problem about the wheels. There is another SPF GT40 owner in your neck of the woods, Mike, I believe. Has a beautiful car, perhaps my favorite SPF, track focused with dry sump etc. He's on here occasionally. Ron

    Saudi Arabian GP

Yes, Schumi was infamous for playing dirty. Purposly crashing during qualifying to keep others from out qualifying him. Crashing into competitors to keep them from out-scoring him in a race. So, yes, Max is a lot like Schumi...about as cut-throat as they come.
