Yes, I already do this on clear track days. Thanks.

Help in bypassing wiper parking function.

Superformance MK1 here. My windshield wiper parks right in front of my field of vision. Not cool on the race track. How can I bypass the park function and just be able to flip the switch off and park it wherever I want, like up and away? Thanks

    SCCA Legal GT40

Just got my SCCA log book for class ITE last Friday. Unfortunately, on Saturday, I hit 104.8 db where 102.9 db is the max. So I had to park it. Anyone have any ideas what mufflers might do the trick as the Superformance ones just don’t cut it.

    Safety wire

Yes I was hoping to go that route but the center shafts on my car do not protrude out beyond the spinners or nuts. Another way is to drill through both the nut/spinner and shaft but the alignment of the holes will alter over time as you constantly change tires as I do. I considered drilling...

I’ll also be running these nuts for SCCA legality so your recommendation might serve dual purpose. TBD.

    Safety wire

Safety wire on the wheel spinner should go from the little hole at the tip of the spinner to where? I have the BRM style wheels. Are folks drilling a small hole in one of the spokes for this? Thanks much.

Re: New Guy Planning on running but rarely, in ITE or Super Production in SCCA but primarily in VARA in GTO or whatever class they allow. VARA has been very welcoming in this area. Also the occasional track day with the Reno Region. If the Mitty ever has a Ford marque day then I might...

Re: New Guy That would be great Randy. How about "SCCA Legal GT40." And thanks for doing this. I knew someone would help me out here.

Re: New Guy SCCA legal cage and fuel cells are installed and approved by tech inspector. I made some compromises here. Most notable is the position of the forward down tubes. I wanted a future owner to be able to cut the cage out and return the car to "stock" trim so I did not cut into the...

    Engine to firewall clearance.

Good suggestions. I'd never heard of a remote electric water pump. I'd like to retain the distributor but highly agree with your suggestion on DIS. Olthoff asked me if I was going to be pulling many Gs when we conversed about the need for a dry sump. I internally chuckled a bit. We both...

    Engine to firewall clearance.

I've scoured his photos and like what I see. It is, however more complex than I need as he is running AC and a crank fired ignition that bypasses the distributer. I am looking for a more traditional arrangement. I suppose I should be asking a simpler question like "Hey guys, which side do you...

    Engine to firewall clearance.

I was looking at their site and noticed that long shaft. Called them and they said that they could make it as long or short as I wanted. I agree, their system is slick but I have reservations on using their integral aluminum pan/pump setup. Expense is one but more importantly is my preference...

    Engine to firewall clearance.

Hi all. Asking for recommendations for the accessory area near the firewall to allow for adequate room and accessibility. I have SPF MK I, no AC and building 302 SBF. Am looking at Aviaid dry sump 3 pick up with 4 stage pump on left, just below the inlet of a low profile Ford comp, water...

    SCCA Legal GT40

Greetings. This is my first time speaking up after lurking for years. I hope to make some new friends here over time. Since listening to the radio in the 60's to the GT40 race updates, I've always been a GT40 fan. Well it's finally happened. An RHD, wide body, SPF Mark I is being shipped to...
