True but the huge expense of constantly rebuilding a ZF/ZFQ for a track car is nuts and when the loss of track time too is frustrating. I can still do enough events without FIA rules.
Here’s a cutaway of the MFT. Quite a few are going into GT40s in Europe to replace the ZF/ZFQ. 6sp sequential, straight cut gears dog box. Strong and race proven.
Probably they put in the ZF for Historics. In the US I think you can race but the ZF and ZFQ aren’t sting rough. They break all the time so fixing them is expensive, time consuming and depressing.
