    Ford granada driveshaft retaining nuts

Still having a bit of a hard time. Tried 22x1.5 but it seems like too coarse a thread. They are the 108mm mk1 granada hubs unfortunately which means the 100mm ones linked don't work for us (if have a 100mm one in the car at the moment but would rather dont change drive shafts).

    Ford granada driveshaft retaining nuts

Hey guys. Trying to get one of our granada stub axles repaired - can any tell me the thread size on these? Our engineer measured it at 22x1.25 but thinks the nut that was on it was more like 23mm. Just wondering what is actually correct or if anyone is able to supply one still?

    KCC Restoration

I finished the gear linkage a couple weeks ago. I will leave simon to get some pics. It seems to work ok - able to get all 6 gears (5+R) without much of an issue. Just a little more effort than a brand new off the shelf car.

Blog Update - FORD GT40 RESTORATION PROJECT So it's been a while since the last blog update, mostly because Simon has been on an oil rig somewhere off the coast of Thailand for the last few months. I thought that perhaps I should switch things up once in a while and make an entry. Without...

    KCC Restoration

Yep a few people on a few forums have said that. Not to worry though, I did it at the assembly stage :) Made some more progress over the weekend so hopefully simon does a blog update sometime soon.

    KCC Restoration

I am looking forward to the next installment of this. I am still a good 700km away so not putting in any work myself but I got some pictures today of it down to the body off stage. Will be interesting to see where to from here!

    KCC Restoration

Jimmy - We have certainly had discussions about that. Genuine style fuel fillers look pretty expensive but its certainly something to think about down the track. I think we decided it might be the sort of thing to leave until the body work stage. It would progress a little quicker too if I...

    Race Tracks - Australia

Wow, just wow. I think I did 3 months of street driving tyre wear in just afternoon at the track. Food for thought.

    Race Tracks - Australia

That last comment suggests you have missed the point. The additional 'hidden' costs are the biggest problem. Doesn't matter what car, consumables will add up.

    Race Tracks - Australia

I didn't bother ready all your posts George but... 1. No track day will be $160 absolute cost. All the consumables will make it a $500 outing. If it is your street car you might not be paying the $$ upfront but you will in the following months in the form of tyres, brakes and other breakage...

    GT40's and Future Generations

I don't think support will die out. Some of the younger generation are aware and they are a car that cuts across many different interests. I am 28, always owned turbocharged cars and between the girlfriend and myself have an R34 GT-T skyline and Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart. My brother and his...

    KCC Restoration

Just a quick Q - All the early KVA's I have seen seem to have some strange kind of swing arm rear end as opposed to the semi-trailing arm granada setup on this car. Does anyone know if this is a KCC specific change? Something like that article would be a much better solution one day though :) I...

Opportunity to buy a GT40 - what kit etc?

Car is at home in the garage now. My brother started a blog if anyone is interested- gt40project.blogspot.com Its going to be a long path but hopefully before years end we will get it registered. After that the serious work begins. Craig - Don't suppose you know how the local kits (e.g. the...

Opportunity to buy a GT40 - what kit etc?

Ok cool Mike. Good to hear from someone else with experience. Do you have any more pics of yours? Got the import approval papers today. Built 1996, imported 2001. Had a talk to a compliance / import company and things are for the best part looking ok.

Opportunity to buy a GT40 - what kit etc?

Thanks Craig, that cleared it up a lot. I think we will have to get in touch with someone who deals with LO3 a little and get their spin. I suspect I may be have been overly optimistic. Not sure on the age, the owner is pretty sure he first registered it in the early 90's which doesn't...

Opportunity to buy a GT40 - what kit etc?

Yeah the fall back plan is track only but I do think it is a little too low tech. The registration plan will have to be via personal import if possible. I think there is no way to do an ICV with something so early and in the current state of completion. So in queensland the process for...

Opportunity to buy a GT40 - what kit etc?

Ok thanks Clive I will have a look. Sounds very KVA or a copy of. Talking to the owner / builder he mentioned it was asymmetrical or offsquare which seems to be a KVA trait. We confirmed that the price will remain at that. The owner is keen for someone to buy it who will put it back on the...
