The problem with not painting cf is that its a hell of a jobb having it visible. If you want to to have it visible al the fabric has to be in the right direccion and it's need a looooot of clear coat.. I use just to make some ditails visible as my are race car not for tunig shows.

I have a problem with the sound of the cross plane V8! It`s just doesn't sound like a race engine! How about the BMW M5 V10 engines they cost at the salvage yard over her about 8000$. Nice sound track and you can go with a turbo kit on them...

Does you have any pics from the inside of the Cf intake? I have made some complete manifolds in CF and the problem is not to get the outside smooth and nice, The inside has to be like mirror smooth as well and that's use to be the problem.

Yes Its a 2.3kg CF door reinforced with ballistic aramid (kevlar) to make it more safe. I think that this is one of the more interesting forums I have read with a loot of people with huge knowledge and skills.

I'm not new in the race circuits and I have a lot of knowledge in building composite body parts for race cars as that's my job. I'm here to learn a little bit of how to build a my own chassis for a track car. Regards Jan K
