Looks like the next Corvette is to be mid engined. If this happens I see a factory transaxle option thats geared and made for V8 power and torque. Great for the future of component cars. :)
SCOOP: The Mid-Engine Corvette Will Likely Be Confirmed in 2016 - CorvetteForum
I had the privilege of stopping in and checking out Scotts car. Being the first SLC I've seen in person it was amazing to finally be able to size it up. The modifications being done are very well thought out and look killer in person. Scott was generous enough to show me around for over two...
I started drawing as a kid and never quit. Always like to create something. bringing it up makes me want to create an SLC rendering. Here is a Daytona a did a couple years ago.
Very true. Sitting down at my computer with coffee looking at car stuff is just the start of my day. I think next to Jeremy Clarkson and company, Fran has the coolest job in the world.
I can't wait to get mine to see the reactions. I get a lot with my GT500 but I know this is on another...
I don't think it's rude. Car guys are car guys and we love to check stuff out. You don't get cars like these and expect to not get some attention. As long as there not walking into your garage without permission or being pushy in general I have no problem talking car. Had a guy follow me in my...
I like the adjustable pedal idea but how does this effect clutch tension? seems like the moving it would loosen or tighten the clutch but I'm not familiar with the pedals in these cars so I'm assuming its different.
I think the new SLC seats look perfect. Get them trimmed out really nice and they will look the part. Also helps that Fran designed them specifically for the car.
Man I love Plastidip. I assume that what that sample is anyways. There are unlimited colors that include metallic and really look good on cars. cost effective, changeable, and you don't have to worry about that rock chipping your $8,000 paint job.
Gear ratios are not to different form the mustang 6 speed as far as I can tell. The final drive can be lowered a bit to give you longer gears.

VMP TVS 2.3 supercharger like I have on my GT500. I have a used one that I bought to use on my F150 for $1,300. Came complete with manifolds and intercooler.
F150 5.0 engines are much cheaper than the Mustangs but are essentially the same. Differences are the compression ratio is 10.5:1...
Just contacted Subarugears and they said they don't have an adapter for the Coyote but he will make me one without charging for development if I give him the measurements from the back of the motor.
Boom, adapter and flywheel figured out. Just need to figure the shifter.

Not the coyote I wanted to use but it works.
Searching around I found this from Fran in this thread:

"Not very strong is one of the major issues...
not designed for V8 torque....not bad with a Scooby engine but even then the break...I know as I have a broken one on my...
In my ongoing plans to build an SLC or GT-R (on the Fence) I am still trying to find a quality yet cost effective trans to keep the build a financial possibility for me. $8-20,000K transmissions throw my hopes out the window when you add that to all the other costs like kit, engine, wheels...
