Building a new sports car, where to start?

Trev, Peruse this project of a 69 fastback mustang converted to a mid engine car with a ford gt powertrain. You should get some ideas looking at how they accomplished the build. Eckert's Rod & Custom : Projects

    Cleveland or Windsor

For some good 351C info check out the pantera forums and Ford 335 "Cleveland" Series Engine Forum (the cleveland forums). Also google George Pence. I've been doing a lot of research before I rebuild the C in my 69 mustang. George and others have helped clear up the myths surrounding the 351C and...

    72 Ford Torino BB

Wow! Would love to see this done. I had a 72 Gran Torino Sport back in the 80s. Had 351C 2V auto. Picked up a 429 SCJ & 4 speed from a Torino Cobra to put in it. Rats trashed the car when I had it stored in my parent's barn. Would love to get another one

    Interesting Fords

IIRC, it wasn't intended to be a GT40 prototype, it was just used as one after mustang development moved on to more marketable concepts.

    Interesting Fords

Done by ford themselves. Those aren't the original wheels, they're replacements. There's a story behind it, something about the car was supposed to have been scrapped. I've done some extensive research on this car last time I was at The Henry Ford. I read through a lot of documents at the...
