    Here are some pics of my R8 V8 SLC for reference. This is lowest possible mounting of the engine in the SLC. Fran did modify rear of the chassis during the build to accommodate the engine but not extensively.

    Ha Fran..... That lesson I have learned on my SLC engine choice! Check the depth before you dive in..... I didnt even check to see if there was Water! We did get a good transaxle option out of it. Better you build it and we will come :)

    Im not in a rush to order as I wont be addressing the A/C install untill much later. There was a thought of possibly locating the unit in the radiator box area under the front nose. Just havent had time to explore at length. So I may be following your lead. Or not..... Im with you...

    My initial inquiry was met with lots of support to accomodate the install needs. Looking at the info you have provided that may not be the case? That BT to manual control process would be a concern for me.

    Spoke with them, nice systems and they will customize any aspect of it. That's what I will be using. Really like to BT connected app. I was going to integrate an Ipad mini or iphone for my infotainment and having the HVAC controls there as well was nice.

    Scott I have a CL65 which I upgraded wiith a Speedriven ecu/tcu tune and its a day and night difference in the way it shifts as well as the throttle response. 12K is actually very good for complete standalone with wiring harness for that motor. I paid close to 20K to get my Audi R8 motor...
