    Charlotte Autofair- and 6 SLCs?

I'm nowhere near being able to buy one right now (just bought an S2000, and getting divorced), but I might make the trek down there to check them out! Not everyday... you get the rest.

    Spotted at VIR

That very car got about 1 second shot in an episode of Top Gear (UK) when the three guys drove from the Blue Ridge Parkway to NYC.

    Rumbles SLC Build

Familiar, in a "Steve Jobs faked his own death so he could retire and build custom supercars for a hobby" kind of way?

    Headlight lens tint

No matter how you cut It, all of those will reduce lumens hitting the road. I guess its a question of looks vs visibility. Yellow film may help in easing strain on your eyes, but that's the only benefit I can fathom.

    Anodized Chassis

Heh, I was trying to agree to a certain extent, but I've actually never heard of PC'ed wheels failing like that. I was more of an ancient alloys investigator. Obviously Al alloys weren't used (at all really) until around the Industrial Revolution so my experience is relatively limited. The...

    Anodized Chassis

Metallurgist? I spent a few years in a research lab doing metal corrosion investigation, and while you're definitely right about the grain structure of annealed metals, I seriously doubt its a major factor in the production of the AL used in the chassis materials. To really screw things up you'd...

    New powerplant for the SLC

Unless it was never finished and they changed engines mid build then no... that one had the v8 from the 360 Modena

    Mike S. SLC

Absolutely stunning! Definitely let us know when you plan on showing it. I'll drive all the way from Williamsburg to see it!

    Headlight installation help needed

I have some experience with retro-fitting non-projector headlights use with OEM projectors. The principle appears to be similar with the SLC in regards to the key factors including mounting method, aiming, and output. The Hella projectors seem to have a solitary advantage, aside from price, in...

    Ken's SLC build thread

I'd think anyone not using their SLC primarily as a racecar should buy that wheel liner kit. It looks properly OEM and should probably cost a good deal more!

    New and won-over

I think this is the perfect example of the need for as much media as possible being posted on Youtube and other internet sites. Show em' off guys!

    SL-C Owners Map

Congrats! If you need any help with the build, a wrench monkey, or wouldn't mind someone gawking at the car, I am only 1.5 hours away.

    Air intake pictures

Are there any concerns with brake dust and other road/track debris? Seems like you would be in for a new filter every thousand miles...

    SLC 2nd drive

Nice vids! That's the one thing this car lacks in respect to its exposure so far; video easily found on the internet.

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

I think front and rear wheel wells should be included in the respective shells. Running open ITBs in that engine bay would be asking for trouble with all that extra debris flying around. As I'm sure everyone here knows, the Ultima has the wells built into the bodywork to expose the wheels when...

    Decisions Help when ordering SLC

The S2000's F20 and F22 motors have seen 600-700whp on stock internals with a decent tune. If you can get past the poor music choice and reckless behavior its pretty impressive for a stock motor, transmission, and diff: 701hp S2000 From Hell-Part1 - YouTube I know that car saw several...

    Decisions Help when ordering SLC

As I don't have immediate access to either motor. I do know they are within a couple of inches. The 2JZ does look a bit longer, but that's probably due to perception considering that the motor is only about a foot wide. LSX engine measurements: General Tech Anyone with an LS1 or an LS3 and...

    Decisions Help when ordering SLC

My guess would be no, but maybe with some chassis modding... But if no one has explored that option by the time its my turn, then I'll find out.

    Decisions Help when ordering SLC

There's a monthly one in Williamsburg, too. Last I checked it was at the Williamsburg Winery. Lots of standard stuff, but also the odd GTM, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. Not sure on the exact day of the month, however.

    Decisions Help when ordering SLC

It all depends on what can be fit in there. If, and hopefully when, I decide to build one of these its going to be for the experience of driving it... the sound and behavior of the motor. The LS3 is the obvious first choice for price/performance, but to get a decent sound out of it I'd have to...
