    SL-C powerplant possibility?

Let me know if you want someone to visit your heads. WCCH is a few small cities from my office. Dying to go over there. One of us should see your engine parts before the turn of the next century.:D

    Destroked LS7?

I agree. The DART block, yes, a TON (ok, 21lbs) of extra material vs. stock LS7. I've not heard of crank walk on the DART blocks over 1000hp. The RHS block is +3lbs more than the stock LS7. I havent heard of crank walk here, either, but $400 worth of insurance on a $5K block seems cheap. But...

    Destroked LS7?

I've been playing with a spreadsheet looking at various options for high revving engines. Parts only no labor. LS7 based brand new: RHS, WCCH LSW's, $2500 forged assembly, Isky EZ Rolls, cam gaskets, fasteners, main girdle, LSXR 120MM, accessory kit, +$23K. no labor. 8k RPM, 750hp LS7 used...

    Destroked LS7?

A junkyard 4.8L or 5.3L engine with stock bottom end and decent valve springs will do 7K all day long. Add Isky EZ-Roll's or Jesel's and shaft rockers and a cam 8K is no problem. $5K max. Add in twin GT3582R's (another $1K-$2K) you can have 8K and 700-800 reliable horsepower (cxracing, turbos...

    GEARZ SLC Build?

well, while this engine doesn't deserve to be in what I think is the best kit car available, it's certainly an AWESOME stop-gap while one waits for a 900hp NA engine. the hp-to-$$$ (or even cubes) is silly. when you are done with it sell it for more than you have in it Stock GM LS Engine - Big...

    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

I dont know if this was discussed, but for those wanting to make a buck, you can do it without a cad program, or, import it into a cad program from paper. take a few plastic models, fill them with foam (e.g. DOW's Great Stuff). Cut the model into pieces. Trace the cuts onto paper. At this point...

    Semi-automatic?

Hit send too fast. Also straight cut sequential dog engaged Porsche gearboxes aren't rare and are perfectly adapted to paddle clutch controlled shifting. Nightmare to run on the street. A sequential helical gear transaxle with synchros (street friendly) is unicorn rare or expensive.

    Semi-automatic?

Paddle shift isn't difficult. Clutch controlled (no pedal) is. There are kits to convert the G50 to paddle shift. You still have to push in the clutch.

    Semi-automatic?

Hi Tim, I've been looking in to this as well. So far the hurdle seems to be finding an sequential transaxle that can handle your power levels that uses helical cut gears and non-dog synchros. There arent any I can afford. Example, the G50-G96 boxes were produced in sequential straight cut dog...
