    CAV or SPF GT40?

As I said before, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, and just one more Blah for good measure

    CAV or SPF GT40?

I'll take quality over originality, thank you. That is, unless it's a real 1960's GT40. This thread is sort of taking on a Blah, Blah, Blah direction.

    CAV or SPF GT40?

Fran, I think your car is the best bargain of all the homage cars. It's one thing to come up with the money to buy one, that's fairly easy, it's another to start with a dream, form a company and build them. That's amazing...

Anyone know this SL-C for sale on ebay?

I should have bought the turbo Toyota powered SL-C car in Canada for 65K. It needed a little work to finish it up, but it was a great deal at that price.

    CAV or SPF GT40?

I believe my ERA cost more as a turn key car when it was manufactured, than a comparable turn key SPF, but it was assembled by Americans with a higher standard of living than those in South Africa, so in my case, cheaper doesn't apply.

    Anyone Know SPF 2202?

Thanks for the link Mike, those pictures are great...As for 2202, it looks like someone refinished the Orange rims in Gold, kept the Gulf Blue(if repainted they didn't match it to the original well) color but removed the Orange center stripes and applied White stripes and White roundels with the...

    Anyone Know SPF 2202?

Sorry, I stand corrected. I didn't realize it passed through a few hands since 2011. It use to be Gulf colors with Orange wheels with the #7 on the side. One of its newer owners must have changed it to the #1 car of Ken Miles. Good choice to do so. Ken Miles car did not wear Gulf colors.

    CAV or SPF GT40?

I'll take better panel fit, precision welding, stainless steel chassis, direct linkage shifter over SPF's cable shift(left hand drive)and made in the USA, over a steel spyder, any day, LOL...I guess even the fiberglass authentic CSX replicas SPF makes are inferior compared to an aluminum...

    4" Gulf Flares

Thanks Jac. I'm running Goodyear 27.0/14.0 on mine with Gulf flares and Roger Krause's website shows them at 26.6" high by 13.7" wide. Close enough.

    Anyone Know SPF 2202?

I remember a post about him racing a Ford GT. here is a link to a video he posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg5wSMevGr0 It's been for sale since 2011. Use to be painted in Gulf colors that you can see in the video, which was incorrect for a MKII.

    4" Gulf Flares

I found a picture of 1074 and it had Firestone 6.0/13.50/15 tires. Does anyone know how high in inches they would be? I'm assuming the width is 13.5"

    CAV or SPF GT40?

Wasn't the MK1 called a Ford GT originally? Wasn't the GT40 moniker something the press made up?

    CAV or SPF GT40?

Look at the panel gaps and welds on all the cars that are mentioned, I'll bet ERA comes out on top  But I do concede that the SPF GT40 is more original if that's what your after.

    CAV or SPF GT40?

GT40's seem to have their base price depending on manufacturer. They only go down so much unless it's a fire sale. I would look used if there is something out there that fits your tastes. Let the guys who bought new take the hit when they go to sell. My car was over $150K when it was new and a...
