Found this Photoshop job in Google images. It might be viewed as sacrilege of a classic, but I think it's one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen.

Jaguar engines can be made to look extremely beautiful (from a gearhead's perspective). This is the engine from a very famous drag-racing Mini altered in the UK.

Yes, they're all great photos Ted. I always think the angle in this particular photo shows off the beautiful lines of the SLC so well.

Wow! I'd love to have that transporter! It features one of the most amazing design diesel engines ever, the 3 cylinder, 2-stroke, six opposed pistons TS3. These engines used to power the London to Scotland buses up the M1 motorway at crazy speeds.

Great stats and a lot better than some LeMans teams do even after years of experience. Go team!

As so often in endurance racing, one relatively small part can end your race. Tough luck guys, but the real achievement is flying the flag of the SL-C with such aplomb in the face of ever more serious competition. Sounds like you had the team and tactics put together to maintain the dominance...

I find that transmission very sexy in an engineering form and function way. Much nicer looking than some other transaxles.

That's as fugly as the SLC is beautiful. Looks like something sketched on some kid's exercise book.

So do training wheels when you're learning to ride a bike, but you wouldn't want them on your racing bike :uhoh: With a Big Honkin' Fin wouldn't you want to mount the rear spoiler off it by a Swan's neck and switch to end plate mounts to the body? That would fundamentally take away the classic...
