    Build process and procedure

Usualy yes. But GT40's are allways the other way around. You keep drilling welding and fabbing things to improve cause after driving your freshly build GT40 you experiance the need for upgrades (things you should have done better before painting).

How to set up 01E Cable Shifter

I binned that shifter short after I bought it, couldn't throw it from left to right without bending the shifter. Ending up with a Toyota MR2 shifter box soon after which is easy to set up. Running a Citroën transaxle which needs some force to shift.

    RCR40 Fuel Cell Foam

Things to consider.. Quote Pegasus racing: Fuel cell foam reduces fuel sloshing and minimizing the chance of explosions, but it does deteriorate over time. As the foam breaks down, it can quickly clog fuel filters, fuel pumps, and carburetors. We recommend replacing fuel cell foam baffling at...

SGT / Lee Dawson dash fitting

Heatgun would do the trick, heat it up and form. Just aply some presure, and when its hot enough it will deform easy in its new shape. So no need for to much heat. Cool down with a wet towel inmidiatly when its in form. After cool down you can release pressure and usualy it stays in its new...

My Gold GT40 MKIIb Is Ready For Spring.

So while its a beautiful GT40 in every way, in essence its a mk2a with just the snorkels removed and not a mk2B. I sure do like the twin Holley setup as Holman Moody did with P1047. Again the detail work is astonishing.

My Gold GT40 MKIIb Is Ready For Spring.

Looks great, I just wonder why is has a decklid vent as it shouldn't be there on a mk2b. It looks more to a mk2a now with just the snorkels removed as it still has the mk1 front clip and dashboard. Otherwise way better in detail then my mk2a. P1047 was as smooth as silk as a mk2B

    Another Bleeding Problem

That not an airlock. If a temp gauge reads an air lock (=steam) it should read hot and not cold. There's no need to purge the cooling system. That airlock should be long gone since you have driven many miles even long distance trips for years. The electrical system needs attention.
