    Alternator and AC

I ran into the same issues - the brackets that came with the Sanderson compressor would not work without cutting a recess in the chassis for clearance. I made up custom brackets for both the alternator and compressor. I also reverse mounted the alternator forward of the block where there is lots...

    Trailer Modifications

A winch with remote control is the answer to your issues. I have a similar trailer but lower profile and load my RCR Lola solo in roughly 30 minutes. There is no need to open the car doors during the process, as you can make minor steering tweaks simply by moving the front tire angles by hand...

Brian, They give you the choice of sending them your original lens and they will match it, or sending you an oversize lens you trim to fit. I chose the oversize option, and used 80 grit and a palm held power sander to get the fit where I like it. I also used a hole chamfering bit so the tapered...

Caught a rock with my passenger side headlight cover a couple months ago and procured a replacement lens from Aircraft Windshield Company in Los Alamitos California. Finally got around to sanding it to fit and drilling the screw holes. Still need to paint the black border around the perimeter...

This event was paced with no passing allowed and is the first introductory level rung on the ladder. No helmets are required until you step up to the next rung on the ladder.

Took the Lola to Dominion Raceway Sunday for it's first track shakedown/test run. Air temperature was 90 degrees with high humidity and the water temperature stayed around 195 until we stopped on pit lane and idled between each 15 minute session. The car performed well with the clutch and...

How to load 40 in an enclosed trailer

If you need to make minor steering corrections as the car is winched up/down the trailer ramp, you can just grab the front wheel and move it a bit - I have loaded my Lola several times solo and with a remote for the winch it's a relatively easy process.

Used a good old straight edge steel ruler and slotted the holes in the brackets to allow minor fore/aft adjustments. Used the same method to reverse mount the alternator forward of the engine on the drivers' side.

Got the brackets fabbed up and the A/C compressor final mounted with it's own dedicated belt. Next up is crimping on the hose ends, vacuum checking for leaks and then freon charging. Getting too hot in VA to drive without A/C!

Out for a test drive yesterday and ran out of gas on the interstate. Gage was reading 1/2. Luckily, I was only a couple miles from home and was able to get my wife to bring my Colorado with a tow strap to get the car home (AAA is useless, as they refuse to use a tow strap and their rollbacks...
