FS USA Superlite GT-R build parts

Hey Ken, I'll take the plates. Should I Paypal the $150 to you as well? :) And then I need to stop looking at these parts. Ha Ha....

Recommendations for US vacation around the 60th anniversary in July 24

I get it now. Hertz has always been a quality rent a car company. I have had bad experiences with most other rent car companies. Of the three vehicles you are showing above I would pick the Colorado. Mileage will not be much different that the VW Jetta. At least not enough to be too concerned...

Recommendations for US vacation around the 60th anniversary in July 24

Hi Markus, Your question may be a bit confusing. There really is no reason to rent a pickup truck or 4x4 in July. Most rental car companies don't rent pickups either. There are a few that do but they are typically used for short haul trips. If your set on a pickup most American brand trucks are...

Good call Bill. I recommend Gilmore Car Museum, as well. A great way to spend the day.

Hi Ken, Do you still have the GT-R fog lights? If so, I'll take them.

    Need cooling help please

The notch at the bottom of the timing cover appears to be a weep hole, so you can tell if the back of the pump is leaking. I don't think it should be filled with JB or sealant. I just seal around the water jackets. There are two additional bolts underneath going through the oil pan and into the...

    GT 2006 Please Help!

I think the closest you will get is the Superlite/RCR GT-R. There are several builds on here. The GT-R is mostly the same body with wider flares and large front splitter. Probably worth a call to Fran at Superlite/RCR to discuss. https://www.superlitecars.com/gtr...

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

Hey Sean, I'm dreading the body line fittment as well. The fiberglass work makes a mess of everything. I'm about where you are on the glass work of my GT-R. Most of the major work is done on the front clip and rear clam shell. I plan to focus on the doors and line gapping next. Interior work...

    Jim's RCR GT-R build

Ha Ha. I have always preferred to crawl all over the ground with gas in my face to find the leaks that are normally it the worst possible place to fix. Great idea Jim.

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

Ha Ha many of us feel the same. Your doing a great job though. Keep it up. It will be worth. I found that when really frustrated I need to take a break for a while. When I come back at it I often change things a bit for the better after having time to think it over. Good luck. I have enjoyed...

    Grimoire.E #10: Superlite GT-R Build

Looks great. If you are messing with the duck tail fittment. I found that that rear frame assembly can be bent into place rather than use shims. I stuck a floor jack under mine with a 2x4 to bring it up a bit. All the tig welding of the tub on mine was top notch but I think Fran had a newbee...

Nice work Sean. That thing sounds great. Are you planning to do the body work and paint? I always dread that part. Makes such a mess.

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

Hey Sean, What wall thickness did you use on your fuel filler pipe? I'm getting ready to do the same on my GT-R. Debating wether I weld of bend the pipe. Looks like you may have done both. Loooking great by the way. Love the progress.

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

Got to love body and panel fitment. By far my least enjoyable task. Fiberglass adds another layer of lovely. Looking good though. Keep at it.
