    Restrictor instead of Thermostat

Mike, I don't believe in using a restrictor in place of a thermostat because of the way a thermostat functions. It is normally closed until it reaches the temperature then it opens . While it is closed the water is not flowing and is stored in the radiator which the fan is cooling by pulling...

    Engine in…..new problems.

Pat, I found an interesting build thread that shows steps to making the alternator bracket and he also made the AC bracket. See ( Franks KVA Build. Page 14 and post number 266 ). Not sure what you abilities are but very good description and pictures. Hope this helps. David...

    Ford H Craft GT-R

Jack welcome and congratulations on a beautiful car. H joined us for a GT get together and mountain drive while he worked there in 2019 and opened the shop up to us for a visit. I think he had just finished the car then. David

Rob, I like this setup and wonder if you could mount them as front and rear instead of side blind spot?? Thanks for sharing. David

    Gelscoe 1078/R Lightweight

Very nice Rob! I have a question on the oil sending port you have it going up to the left head and crossing over to the right head ? Where are you getting your output for your dash gauge? On my Gurney they plugged the crossover ports on the heads and sent the tubes back with the engine? Roush...

As is . You can't replicate that patina. But yes I agree with cleaning it up some inside and under the clamshell. That picture was taken in November 2021. Ford Performance surprised us at a GT rally when they took it out of the trailer.

Well I was proud of my first Tig welding job. But then I thought I was getting pretty good at it so I bought some flat stock and tried to make a more authentic one. I was doing good until I tried to fill in a dimple and melted the entire foot off it.

Rob I bought my Turkey pan from them but the second picture you show will not work on a Gurney headed intake spread. Now the other bracket you show is wider and is what I needed but they did not offer it for sale to me. I ended up bolting it to the bottom of the tray and I added a third mounting...

Honestly I used the Tig but not much stacking of dime as I found that it was easier to make my puddle and move the heat as it flowed as one spot to the next. So almost like brazing with a Tig. David

Ok pretty proud of my first time Tig welding with new Everlast tig welder and fabrication of an aluminum throttle cable bracket. From a sheet of aluminum to something looking period correct.

    Need cooling help please

Mike when you have it pulled down into a vacuum you close the gate valve and add the hose adapter and put the end in the new coolant then open the gate valve and the vacuumed system will pull the new coolant from you jug. Make sure to close the gate valve when transferring the hose to the next...

    Need cooling help please

Mike , Glad your back at it. Sounds like your going to have a leak if it doesn't pull into a vacume. I use the air vac to pull diesel trucks into a vacume and when it holds it will pull five gallons of coolant out of a jug and fill the entire system. Bad thing is you cant see the vacume leak but...
