    64 cuda build

New build started as a rebuild of original equipment, but was offered an LS7, TKX, and superformance Daytona suspension and wheels, couldn’t turn it down, putting it on hold for a few months to think about it and to finish another project

    RCR40 Shifter w/ZF 5DS-25-2

Something I hacked together from some stuff we had laying around, it’s pretty smooth shifting, looks like on yours it just needs a little fine tuning Not sure why the first picture is on its side and the last one is upside down

    Vapor lock challenge

check your cam and crank sensor wires, if they are to close to something like right on the block or very close to the exhaust it creates a ton of resistance and the ecm thinks the engine isn’t running and will shut off the fuel, also a bad , weak cam or crank sensor will do the same

    New here as well

Hi all, I do a lot of fabrication and engine building, was introduced to the GT 40, cobra and Daytona just a few years ago, learned much and always learning more, always willing to help in one way or another, very interesting builds going on here, I’m building my own project but it’s not the...

    Bundle of Snakes Clearance Issue

Actually looking a lot closer at the pictures, can you or can you have someone with a mill take some off the mating surface of the support block where it bolts to the transmission?

    Vapor lock challenge

I ran into a similar event, with a short drive and it would buck and die, but the car had a hard time starting too, I had to run heavier wire and removed all the electrical plug connections, I think I changed out the pump with one that had more flow too, are you using the factory LS pressure...

    Bundle of Snakes Clearance Issue

Thinking about this for a day, when I get to the shop, I’ll see what I can do about building a couple offset bushings for the transmission / upper cross member, all the 40s I’ve worked on had the steel x member and there were no clearance issue , I’ll keep you posted

    Bundle of Snakes Clearance Issue

Yes it is an absolute pain trying to get to the motor mounts, if you shim the engine it will change the geometry at the cross member just a little, but with the aluminum cross member, it can be clearanced gently and made to look good, just a thought

    Coyote exhaust

Sanderson will build any header you need, we had them build 2 for the LS7 in the GT 40, beautiful craftsmanship, they are in San Francisco

Roush crate engine head gasket issues?

I’ve come across a few Roush engines with some sort of issues, I believe much of it is due to poor craftsmanship during assembly, they pay someone minimum wage to put these engines together, I doubt much care is put into them

    Bundle of Snakes Clearance Issue

Yes they will crack, i have seen it happen also when they’re not supported correctly

    Need cooling help please

Just a thought, when I burp a system that has the radiator lower than the engine I pull the temp sensor from the manifold until coolant comes out

    Bundle of Snakes Clearance Issue

Unfortunately with spirited driving the headers will contact the cross member, trying to bend the tubes will only cause leaks = shim the motor mounts
