A literal watch from P/1001 - Has anyone seen this?

Hey fellas,

Has anyone seen or checked out the REC P/1001 FAV Shelby watch? It's a limited edition piece (359 units) that claims to incorporate actual material from the Ford GT40 chassis P/1001 - specifically, they've repurposed aluminum coolant pipes from the car to create the tachymeter scales.

For reference: P/1001 was the first-ever production GT40 MkI built, marking the transition from prototype to production.

Very curious for peoples thoughts on this? Personally I think it’s a very cool concept.

Chorstian, probably over priced for a Danish company with a standard Swiss engine. If you like watches inspirated by racing car (or planes) look at BRM Bernard Richard Manufacture in France, he is a serious watch manufacturer since 20 years, not just an assembly company, he manufactures in house all the parts. I personnaly have one of this watch and my company worked for him, doing PVD coating on watch parts. And of top of this the prices are similar to what you display.

They need a better copy editor (or at least use a word processor with spell checker).

"everything changed in 1966, when the GT40, now with a 7-litreer engine "

I guess they couldn't decide which spelling to use (litre or liter), so they went with both.
