GT40 Transaxle upgrade

Hi guys, hope all of you are well. New to this forum, building a GT40 that currently has been partially built. It's got an Audi 016 mated to a SBC (the motor is getting swapped to a Ford). Any thoughts on upgrading to something better/stronger? Is there another option that has similar mounting and axle locations? Any other things I should consider?
Thank you!

Call Rodger at California Motorsports and ask him your questions. Settle on a hp number first. My recommendation is a Porsche G50 5-speed. Don't go and buy a used one and then ship it to someone to have it rebuilt. If you can't drive the car that it is coming out of and shift it yourself then don't buy it. Only buy a rebuilt one from a reputable rebuild shop. Let them source one for you to rebuild. That way you are not going to get stuck with cracked cases or some other hugely expensive repair.

Good transaxles that can live with +400 ft-lbs of torques are not inexpensive. You should expect to spend more on the GRBX than the engine.
