Gimme a brake, or a full set of them

Does anyone have a good reference for brake parts for an 85-87 Corvette. In order to keep the 15 inch wheels I am pretty much stuck with the stock Corvette brakes that are recommended for the ERA GT.

First I need a reference for purchasing the complete assemblies including all the emergency brake goodies.

Second, if anyone knows of a manufacturer who makes an improved caliper for the stock Vette replacement (85-87) I'd really appreciate that also.

Danke and happy motoring.

Mark, have you looked into the feasability of using 88-92 rear brakes on your car? I am using them with the DRB uprights that were designed for the older brakes. The only thing required was a spacer ring for the boss on the outer face of the uprights (The alum. spacer with the ears for the calipers has a slightly larger opening.) The parking brake on these is SOOOOOO much simpler to implement since they use the disk brakes rather than a seperate drum. Email me if you would like detail.

Ian,

The folks at Brembo, Willwood and Baer all told me they only have the 13" sets for my car. Did I talk to the wrong person?

Try Stainless Steel Brakes, they have Corvette brakes in that date range. I bought a Corvette mag about a month ago and it had a section on brakes. I'll get it and email any other sources along with my wheel/tire size later today.
