Hold on a sec - are you reading amps or volts? The CAV has a voltmeter, not an ammeter. Is that what's dropping from 13-14 to 10-11, or have you actually installed an ammeter? If you've got a 1-wire alternator, you need to hit a certain rev level before it will start charging - could that be what you're seeing?
