Happy new year all!
The scheduled race @ Q.R on 21-22/2/04 has been moved to Morgan Park.
15-16/5/04 A 1 hour event for sports cars ,Incls sprint sessions for drivers then the enduro with pit stop and change driver. This is first of a series Btween Queensland Raceway,Eastern Creek (N.S.W)& Phillip Island (Vic) Can't wait. Now to see if I can carry enough fuel and coax the motor to stay together that long.

"Whew" what a way to lose weight-- 42degC in the shade ,Track temp. @70degC -- engine controlled temp @ 102degC for 12 hard laps ea.race then back to 90degC on the cool down lap.Those "Pro Topline" heads work for me! And NO water loss

Yeahss, at morgan park (Warwick,Queensland) bloody HOT,new donk,3 secs off the pace,considering all that quite pleased.

At the historic races 28-29/2/04, Phillip Island, there was a GT40 and a Lola Mk3b of Rob Sharrards.
Wish I could have been there.

Chris how many GT40's in Queensland ?
Why won't they come out to play with you ?
Maybe your too fast for them.
What is your current lap time at QR with your new motor ?
With my street motor I think my lap times at QR were 1.00.

With that Kaleco air filter by pass kit and spark plug wire cleaner it should be good for 30 more hp.

Hi Chris
Yes I had a good weekend at Mallala and arrived home in melbourne after a 10 hour drive. On Saturday night we raced in the dark and I nearly ran over a clubman on the ist lap after he was turned around. Not a bad field including 2 360 Ferraris.Bye the way that sole Cobra has 600hp and a very competent driver.My 2nd meeting on slicks and am still getting used to the amazing grip. Next race meeting is at Sandown 1/2 an hour from home (excellent).How about putting an entry in and coming down Chris!I'll try and come up sometime to one of your meetings. I contacted other GT40 owners in Adelaide and we had a great time chatting at Mallala. I have the same problem as you with one 30litre tank I don't think I would last for an hour at Phillip Island especially.

I'll be keen to tour the southern states next year--just got to pick the events that it does'nt rain to much at.My budget has been pretty much consumed by the Targa Tasmaniac event for this season---could've bought another house (or race car)for the money.
Gotta give those Cobra's a hurry up.
Am looking forward to the production sports 1 hour enduro 15-16/5/04--to be televised as well
