Didn't post for a loooong time, but i was researching the web for a replica 917, Turns out there is a chassis and engine for sale in Germany. The say on the website that the frame is 30 years old. So this could be an original, but no chassis number provided (it probably doesn't have one)...

Another thing which could work (but i think you already tried that...): there are 2 different search buttons on the page (one on the top of the page, and the quick search button on the right). On some computers the quick search doesn't work, but the top one (on the right of "main index") does...
