    GT 44 Galery

Really hate the bumpers on the GT44 - completely ruins the shape especially the rear bumper - can you imagine what 1075 would look like with all those shopping car peices attached! - couldn't Ford make a better effort with regards to crash protection than that back bumper? - looks like it's from...

What oil are you all using?

Mobil 1 15W-50 - full synthetic - unlike some PR oils that used cracked base stocks and call it a synthetic - fully synthetic flows faster to coat engine parts durning the first minute of engine operation which is when the most engine wear takes place, and then fully synthetic oils break down...

Some General Questions - Prospective GT40 Owner

As for driver input being the difference between the original on treaded tyres and the 'replica on new racing slicks the orginal was driven by an IT professional and the replica was driven by an experienced Porsche cup racer so I think that maybe the less body roll of the orignal through the...

Some General Questions - Prospective GT40 Owner

I understand why most people will automatically think that the newer replicas will handle better than the orginal 40, but after seeing a 289 originall with era(ie treaded) tires putting in the same lap times on the same day as a new (wont mention manufacturer) replica with new slicks and a 347...

    Side window vent hinges.

I have a different set up - the whole window pivots open a little at the back to allow a through flow of air or the window and be removed completely and stowed next to the seat for a fully open window. heres a pic - the toll hindges are a bit small I think to be of any cooling use.

Still amazing how low a GT40 is compared with other cars.

It still amazes me how low a gt40 is compared to other cars on the road - after driving one it makes even most sportscars seem like double decker buses with such high Centre of gravities. It would be interesting to see of any modern manufacterers introduce a sportscar with such a low roofline to...

This is how the wheels should sit in the arches on a GT40

Re: This is how the wheels should sit in the arches on a GT4 Yes I u are correct about the fact that on some of the originals the wheel was just inside of the body, but the difference is not that great. I tend to like the wheels just at the edge of the body. Here is another picture of my car...
