John Wisher made them to suit each thread, not cheap and important to get the angle on the nut/wheel interface correct.

Gear reduction starters may not be period correct, but they are a heck of a lot more efficient and trust-worthy...

Thanks guys, yes the starter isn't period correct but I want the thing to start every time and comp ratio of 10:1 will need it. Next job is to finally remove the machined block from under my dining table and into the shed for dry fitting.

I might be actually putting a few parts together soon.

Ida's, bellhousing, oil pan, inlet manifold and engine mounts attached ready for a dry fit.

and a close look of the bores...quick clean and they look good, 0.020" over. Need to check the deck height and then decide what the guts of the engine is going to be.

16 SWG SS flywheel cover plate. A few more hours yet...

More filing...... and drilling the bolt holes.... all done now.... well starter motor hole to remove and another large hole for the crank. Spare metal left for the two bellhousing covers. My arms ache....

Very neat Andy. Not having seen the like before, is the mesh to stop sh*t getting in or sh*t getting out?

I think I know the answer, but there again, I thought I knew all the answers to the 11+.
