If it's any consolation, I email T&L about a small block Ford. They responded within a couple of days. Hence, they're still doing business. Just not keeping customers up to date within the loop. I had/have/had the same experience with MDA until Mark went belly up. Never would get back with me, and when he did, he simply told me what I wanted to hear to quiet me down until then next passing of time. It's an age old tactic. Put them off until the fit hits the shan, and when it's just about to get real ugly, deliver. Then pass the same procedure off on the remaining customers until they hit the same breaking point. The squeaky wheel does usually get the grease. It just has to squeak REALLY loud.
