Nice work Hoppy - it looks like you are knocking those fiddly bits over in super-quick time !!

BTW, what door latch mechanisms are you using ? Mine are some older Falcon ones that don't have the locking built in - a real PITA !

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Hi Peter

I don't mean to take anything away from Hoppy's great work, but, it is fair to say, Hoppy isn't knocking anything over quickly - He has ordered a turn key. Lucky bugger. None the Less Hoppy, keep the photo's coming, people like me love to see how these things get put together, regardless of who is doing the putting.

Cheers

Jack

Hoppy, you must get up at 5am to see what new pics have come in from PR ! Progress is happening fast.

What's the story with the little "hatch" just in front of the wipers ? This looks like something new from DRB ?

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Peter,I actually start work at 6 am anyway, but with the time difference it is 11.30 am Brissy time.Always open PR's emails with great anticipation of what the progress to date is.In regards the flap,I do not know what the story is and the last couple of times I have rung PR to enquire,he has "just stepped out" so will post when I know.

Gents, the small hatch in front of the panel is for the wiper drives and is fitted according to the customer requirements, single LHD or RHD and dual LHD or RHD and the seam gelcoated.
Also PR has been able to fit a cable drive wiper mechanism.

Jeez Dalton that's a bit harsh, I think the carpets look good, especially with the fluoro tape edging. Anyway anything more flash would suffer from Hoppy spilling beer on them.

To clarify the above statement, the wheels are in fact new,the "well travelled" refers to the fact that Simmons originally refused to chrome the wheels and were informed by PR that I would be getting them done,if not by them, then by someone else. They then relented, but would only use one chrome plater at a rather pricey fee.The wheels were then manufactured and polished in Sydney, sent to Melbourne for chroming, then back to Sydney for final assembly before delivery to PR in Brisbane.
A rather time consuming progress but I think once the tyres and spinners are fitted and mounted on the car it will be worth it.
