Headlight installation help needed

Maybe this is a dumb question, but can anyone tell me how to install the plastic three-arm nut-thingies in the Hella headlights without destroying them?

So far, everything I have tried to rotate the plastic thingies so the arm locks in place has not worked and/or has been close to breaking something.

Thanks.

After I wrote the above post, I went back into the shop and scratched my head some more. Attached is a picture of what I came up with. The slots were cut using a cutoff wheel on a dremel tool.

Once the nut was cut to shape, it worked like a charm. Quick and easy and no plastic thingies were harmed in the making of the film.

Pulling this thread up from the past. Is there any reason people didn’t get a 60mm low beam and locate it on the outside instead of doing the 60mm high beam and reversing positions?

Thought about it. It’s a few hundred lumens different between the 90 vs 60mm bulbs. I’m going to stick with the 90mm low beams and pick up a set of the 60mm high beams as others have done.
