Healthcare

Geeez, talk about big brother! They will sneak it in as a helpful tool to keep you healthy. Wonder how many morons will fall for this? They will know where you are 24/7.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all labouring under a misconception.

Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Paediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anaesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the arseholes in Washington.

Remember when the president said "if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it" or "our plan will bend the cost curve?", and John Deere, AT&T, and Verizon stated publicly that because this legislation eliminated a company's right to deduct the federal retiree drug-benefit subsidy from their corporate taxes, they were considering dropping health coverage for all of their employees because it was gong to "cost" them upwards of $1 billion? Rep. Henry Waxman chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee demanded public hearings and that these companies turn over internal documents. His goal was to humiliate businesses and prove that that they were misrepresenting their healthcare costs.
Now we know that he has abruptly canceled his "show" hearings. Why? It has just been revealed(via the documents) that It is cheaper to drop the coverage, and pay the fine, just as it is for young single people. These guys are proving more and more every day, that they didn't read the bill before they voted on it. As Nancy Pelosi said, We have to pass this bill to find out what is in it.
