P1000W was a Brian Wingfield car. It has been seen in the parade at Lemans.'W ' is suffix for Wingfield that is what this '40' is known as.

As an aside I just got back from the French Quater CLassic.
If you go to Ferrari Chat and look in the Lousiana Section you'll see many pics. Let me say that running J6 on the highway for over 80 miles escorted by the Police at Mulsanne
like speed is something I won't soon forget. This is what it's all about.

The Police liked the 166s so much they gave Sal and Jesse a personal 2 car escort and stopped the highway when they missed the exit so he could do a u turn. They told me that that 1947 puppy was running 115! They shut down the French Quarter and I left most of the Lola's tires on Burbon St.
The P3/4 was a sight to behold and as my wife and daughter were riding shot gun at no time did I exceed 190.
