I do you think your response to the fucked up situation in the US -- to call out one side for it but not the other (prove me wrong on that, I may be) -- is fucked up.

But I agree with your general point about the state of discussion in the US. It's messed up. And both sides caused that problem. Nor does there seem anyway out because the reasonable and polite voices are ignored.

Sorry Mark, I'll tone it down a bit.

But, from what I have seen the extremists on the right are really no different than the extremists on the left. Yes there is differences between their methods and how they express it, but I guarantee the anxiety and hate they feel is no different than the other side. With that said, I think there is plenty of evidence to show that Jeff is more on the extreme end. For one, Jeff has accused the right and conservatives of being a part of some racist plot against Obama. If that's not a conspiracy theory, I don't know what is...

Gen Powell has had previous departures from reality. Does anyone remember weapons of mass destruction???? There he supported his president (right or wrong) then as he does now in the case of Mr. Hagel.
