Lloyd can get pretty busy at times in the shop. It's been a few years but Blanche was very responsive and can assist getting you hooked up with Lloyd if necessary.
The reason for the recomendation of non or low EP rating lubricants is that the transaxle by design has to use the same lube in both R&P and transmission sections, While the high EP rating might be desirable in the R&P it will have an adverse affect on the synchro cones etc and affect shift quality. Same goes for clutch type LSD units which sometimes require the friction modifiers mentioned.
Better with a modernised T44 with seperate lube capabilities..
I am a moron. The owners manual clearly indicates SAE 80 GL-5, not GL-4. I have no idea where i got the idea that GL-4 was the way to go? I am about to drain my GL-4 soon. My apologies for leading anyone astray. :thumbsdown:
